Joint songs of praise service and street party at Freckleton Methodist Church

Four churches' celebration of the Queen's 90th birthday, Sunday 12 June

The four churches of Freckleton and Warton are planning a special joint celebration on Sunday 12 June for Her Majesty's 90th birthday, as part of the celebrations that are being held around the country to join in with the street party in London.

Our celebrations will begin with a songs of praise service at Freckleton Methodist Church at 15:00, accompanied by the Freckleton Village Singers, which is open to everyone.

There will then be a street party outside Freckleton Methodist Church (or indoors, if the weather is unsuitable) at 16:00. Admission to the street party will be by ticket, at £4 per adult or £2 for children. If you would like to order tickets, please contact Audrey Charnley on 633838.

We are looking for nominations for hymns for the songs of praise service, on the theme of the Queen’s service and sense of duty to God. If you would like to nominate a hymn and are willing to say a few words about it at the service, please give us your nomination, along with your name and contact telephone number or e-mail address, which we’ll forward to Sylvester. Sylvester will then notify you whether he’s accepted your nomination.

There will be a tombola-type stall with a "red, white and blue" theme, as well as children's prizes, and Holy Trinity, Freckleton Methodist Church, Holy Family and St Paul's are going to provide the red, white, blue and children's prizes, respectively. We would therefore be very grateful if you would please kindly help us by donating children's prizes (e.g. small toys).
